Thanksgiving weekend in Niagara isn't complete without a visit to Vineland ARTfest
Another one of our markets that we missed so dearly these last couple of years... This market stretches many kilometers in the heart of the Vineland escarpment over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Vineland ARTfest brought tens of thousands of visitors to this historic market in Vineland + has been running since 1992. If you are local to the Niagara Region, there is a good chance you have heard of it + and even better chance you have been attending for years.
Hundreds of small shops, artisans + vendors take part in one of Niagara's largest markets of the year! Surrounded by local roasted corn, spiralized fried potatoes (iykyk!) delicious hot drinks, candy apples, fall ambiance + of course, artisans. I remember many moons ago going as a young teen - looking at all of the artisan's work, taking all of the sights + smells in. At that time this market was only a dream...
We prepped all week, packed up the car + set up shop for the weekend ahead at Twenty Valley Public School. It felt surreal being back at one of our most favourite markets, surrounded by incredible artisans that came from all over Ontario + beyond. Another bonus... SO many of our maker friends took part in this market - fortunate to be able to spend this incredible weekend with them: SOFT & STILL CO., MARMALADE, CARNIVAL OF KITSCH, BELLA BUDDHA BEADS, GILLI NATURALS, KITTIES & CABERNET, PAST INTO NEW + many more. There are actually quite a few markets taking part on this weekend, even the streets are lined with vendors. Being a part of something so special with your supportive community really sets the bar high for the weekend ahead...
Our exclusive SUGAR MAPLE + WILD APPLE bar soap debuted + the response was nothing short of amazing! We thought we made enough soap to carry us through the weekend + to our surprise, we sold out at the end of day 2... wow, just wow. We can not thank you enough for loving our goods, supporting our new endeavours + showing up to support us day in + day out! For those of you who missed out on this special autumn treat, not to worry - we may or may not be bringing it back! As always, our newsletter friends will know about it first.
We were absolutely blown away by the support we were shown this weekend. We saw so many familiar faces + met so many new customers. Some of you came with shopping lists given to you by loved ones, were excited to be shopping our goods for the very first time, purchased gifts for someone special + many more wonderful interactions. None of these markets would be possible without you and for that, we are forever grateful.

Another incredible market in the books! Thank you to all of the organizers, staff, volunteers + guests for making this market so memorable. Truly one of our favourite markets of the year + we were so glad to have spent it with all of you. Thank you for sharing + tagging us on social media - we love reliving these special moments. The new maple and apple soap smells like reading a book on a rainy day, while listening to Hozier. I cannot explain it, that’s the vibe.
