2022 market season recap

our 2022 market season was one for the books...

This year's market season started off in a way that no one could have imagined... From beginning this year's season with a devastating fire, finally being back at some of our largest markets of the year after the pandemic, we participated in 21 markets this year! Here are a few of our favourite events, venues + displays from our 2022 market season:

 

HERNDER ESTATE WINES: For The Love of Wine Market

Our first market back this year took an unexpected turn when Hernder Estate Winery caught fire during the night of a 2 day market. 34 vendors (us included) unfortunately lost everything - our display that we have used for nearly 8 years, product, packaging, signage... you name it. This incredible community rallied harder than ever to support the affected small businesses + for that I am so grateful. WHITE OAKS RESORT + SPA: The Mom Market Niagara  

One of our first markets back after the fire - with the support of our amazing community + small business friends who donated their time, products, display pieces + more, we were able to bounce back in to markets. For that we are forever grateful! This beautiful 2 day market hosted over 75 small businesses + we were of course in good company, surrounded by some of our best maker friends!

  

THE HANDMADE MARKET: Spring Market 

After many years without the incredible HandMade Market Niagara, we were overjoyed to be participating in the 10th edition of the double weekend Spring HandMade Market. Hosted at 13th Street Winery, each weekend hosted over 100+ unique makers. We debuted our ALOE VERA summer goods collection + the response from all of you was overwhelming! We spent the weekend eating, sipping + shopping local - we truly missed this market so much + were happy to welcome it back with all of you by our side! 

 

SOCIAL POP-UP SERIES: Dillon's x Hello Happy

We participated in two Social Pop-up Markets with Hello Happy at Dillon's Small Batch Distillers. Located in their outdoor patio, we were surrounded by gardens, lawn games, small shops + of course deliciously crafted drinks. There is no better way to spend a beautiful summer afternoon!

 

JACKSON TRIGGS WINERY: For The Love of Merlot 

Back again at the picturesque Jackson Triggs Winery for the second year in a row for this super fun September winery market. We sipped on some local wine, saw so many familiar faces + enjoyed the beautiful winery views in the heart of the vineyard. This location is one for the books!

 

TWENTY VALLEY ARTFEST: Thanksgiving Festival 

Another one of our markets that we missed so dearly these last couple of years... Vineland ARTfest brought tens of thousands of visitors to this historic market in Vineland. This market stretches many kilometers in the heart of the Vineland escarpment over the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. Hundreds of small shops, artisans + vendors take part in one of Niagara's largest markets of the year! Surrounded by local roasted corn, spiralized fried potatoes (iykyk!) delicious hot drinks, candy apples + fall ambiance. COZY FALL POP-UP: Henry of Pelham Winery 

Popped up at one of our favourite wineries in Niagara, Henry of Pelham. Filled with a day of yummy snacks, the best Baco + awesome music along side our good friends Bella Buddha Beads + Mother's Touch Candles. Surrounded by beautiful views of the fall escarpment, so many of you traveled from near + far to see us, we even sold out of a few goods! 

 

BURLINGTON MARKET: Craftadian 

We were delighted to be back in Burlington for the first time in almost 3 years! We enjoyed live music + gourmet food while shopping the best in Canadian handmade goods from designers to creators, makers + artisans at the Craftadian Burlington Market. We've missed you Burlington!

 

THE HANDMADE MARKET: Holiday Market

One of our most favourite markets is back - finally returning to the 12th annual Holiday Handmade Market after 3 long years, and we debuted our brand new display. Being the largest of our markets this year, the 3 day event hosted at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre in Niagara Falls supported over 175 makers + small businesses from art to food, drinks, clothing, jewellery, home goods, skincare + more. PEN CENTRE POP-UP: The Mom Market Niagara

Back at the Pen Centre in St. Catharines for the second year in a row. We just had to have one more event with our new display + it certainly didn't disappoint... Powered by Starbucks all weekend long, we sold more gift sets than any other event this year at our 3 day holiday mall pop-up - I can hardly wait to see all of the SS goods under your trees this holiday season!

 

FIELDSTONE @ BENCH: Holiday Market

Our very last market of the year with Fieldstone at Bench Brewery... we definitely ended this year's market season with a bang! So many customers came out to support + shop our last pop-up of the year in Bench's brand new, cozy Fieldstone building - we shared so many gift sets, presents + goods with you all. We ended the year with a 'cheers' and packed up the car for the last time.
